Wrapping up the 2020 Season

Congratulations to Andrew Park and his Baltimore Iron Birds the 2020 CCAL Champions!

A couple of things to note, Andrew did things the hard way winning a 6 game series and two 7 game series to claim the title, so it was a long road to the title. Andrew also managed to win the league as a rookie manager, not just in the CCAL, but in APBA in general and I’m not 100% certain about this but I think in sim baseball in general, so that’s quite an accomplishment. This is probably an appropriate time for me to apologize to the league for inviting Andrew to join the league, I don’t know what I was thinking 🙂

Kudos as well to Pat McGregor and his Cherry Creek Torkies as well on another outstanding season and his 2nd AL Champsionship in 3 years!

Thanks to everyone for helping the 2020 season run smoothly, you make my job easier and I appreciate it. This was an interesting season in terms of the competitive balance, only 2 teams with 100+ wins(103 was the max) and 14 teams over .500, that is pretty unusual in my experience and I think speaks to the quality of our managers, so let’s give ourselves a pat on the back 🙂

An updated draft matrix is attached reflecting the World Series results.
